Curtis Wilson Primary School and Academy is committed to offering a challenging elementary curriculum in a warm and caring atmosphere with an emphasis on academics, a loving God, human values, and personal excellence.

The Curtis Wilson Primary School and Academy curriculum is based on the College and Career Ready Indiana Academic Standards.  It is designed to meet and exceed the academic requirements of the Indiana Department of Education, instill a profound love of virtue, and foster a mindset for exemplary leadership.

l

The daily schedule of instruction is organized to place an emphasis on core subjects while providing enrichment opportunities through special subject areas to give depth and breadth to student experiences.  Major content areas include art, computers, etiquette, geography, health, history, library, literature, math, music, physical education, reading (strong emphasis on phonics), non-denominational Christian religious education, science, Spanish, spelling, and writing.

l

Student achievement is assessed and evaluated during opportunities for students to practically apply learning through assignments, projects, presentations, classroom tests, reports, papers, and standardized assessment instruments. Our academic goal is to help students become conscientious, independent, proficient learners with the advanced study skills necessary to excel in exceptional learning environments and everyday life.
